Ditmas Junior High School is part of a pilot program started by the city to introduce computer science into schools.
Mayor Bill de Blasio promises within 10 years all New York City children will get a full computer science education.
In the new program, students learn coding, robotics and web design.
Students at Ditmas Junior High say the program has made them appreciate and enjoy technology.
"These kids, the trade they are learning is going to be unbelievable. They are going to make money, the economy is going to go booming and we are a part of it and we are excited," says Angelo Carideo, a teacher at Ditmas Junior High.
