Volunteers helped spread the luck of the Irish in Parkchester Friday in honor of Irish Book Day.
The Irish Arts Center handed out 10,000 novels from Irish and Irish-American authors in an effort to show people that this time of year is more than just green beer.
It's the second year free books have been handed out in the borough.
