Tenants of the Millbrook Houses had to sweat it out Wednesday, climbing the stairs in one building because their elevator was not working.
One resident says she notified NYCHA about the issue more than once.
"They said they put an emergency ticket in and someone would be right over, and we waited downstairs for an hour and a half and started getting agitated," said the tenant, who did not want to be identified.
News 12 was told it was a flood on the 11th floor that put the elevators out of service.
One of the elevators has since been repaired. The other needs to dry out first.
A NYCHA spokesperson told News 12 in a statement, "Staff is currently onsite making repairs to restore elevator service following a prior flooding issue. We appreciate our residents patience as we work to limit this disruption."
