A Bronx home health aide has been convicted of stealing nearly $800,000 from her 86-year-old disabled patient.
According to prosecutors, Jackie Pokuwaah convinced Renee Fudd to sign hundreds of checks to her. She allegedly said the payments were for things such as ice cream, laundry and wallpaper.
Pokuwaah was caught when two banks tipped off authorities about the large checks being deposited to her account. She faces up to 15 years in prison.
