A Bronx man has been thrown into the spotlight after being selected by Reader's Digest as the winner of its Life's Best Stories challenge.
Erik Zeidler won for his tale about a snake bite that changed his life. Zeedler said he was bitten while studying in Kansas and that his heart stopped twice as he reacted to the venom.
Zeidler said he realized he had an opportunity to educate kids. He returned to The Bronx where he's doing just that and sharing his passion for wildlife.
