A Bronx student has become a key player in the fight against digital piracy after winning a PSA contest sponsored by Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Office.
Lehman High School senior Samantha Oliveras competed against other city students at both the high school and college level. Oliveras says she used humor to create an announcement that she hopes will help protect the small people in the media industry.
Oliveras' original concept is now a professionally produced PSA that will air on TV, show up online and appear in bus shelters starting next month.
