Bronx teacher accused of touching teens

School investigators say a 57-year-old social studies teacher from Hostos Lincoln Academy of Science is responsible for inappropriately touching several female students over the course of the school year.
The incidents reportedly began in September of last year, when a female student complained to school administrators that Jonathan Polayes allegedly touched her on the thigh and on her rear-end. She also claims he repeatedly talked about her rear-end.
Investigators say he received a warning back in 1994 by an assistant principal regarding the touching of students. Disciplinary charges were brought on him in 2001. Despite all of the accusations and charges, Polayes maintains his innocence.
