Dozens of Bronx tenants are joining together in a call for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) to improve their living conditions.

Residents from the Patterson and Mott Haven Houses say they're dealing with persistent leaks, moldy walls and ceilings, and roach and mice infestations. They complain that promises to make repairs have gone unfulfilled.

NYCHA was given $10 million from the City Council back in February to fix up public housing in 2013, but tenants say they can't afford to wait until then.

News 12 The Bronx reached out to NYCHA, but it said it would not comment unless given specific problems to address. The authority also declined to comment on the $10 million it received.
