Bronx traffic advisories mount up for the weekend
Street closures and track work on the subways will affect commutes around the borough this weekend.
Jerome Avenue will be closed both ways from E. Gun Hill Road and Mosholu Parkway on Saturday due to a street festival in Bedford Park. East 208th Street between Jerome and Dekalb avenues will be reserved for staff parking.
The Major Deegan Expressway will have a lane blocked north and southbound from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. approaching the Cross Bronx Expressway.
One or two lanes on the Queens-bound Whitestone Bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
Weekend track work will affect Manhattan-bound 4 trains.
