A new permanent public pool is coming to Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The seven-year pop-up pool near Pier 2 will be closing for good to make way for the new construction.
The new pool won't be located in Brooklyn Bridge Park but can be accessed by walking the Squibb Bridge.
Residents can also enter the new pool through Squibb's main gate on Columbia Heights.
The president of the nonprofit that operates Brooklyn Bridge Park says he wants community members to voice their opinions on the pool's design.
Residents can voice their opinions at two upcoming neighborhood forums on Sept. 12 and Sept. 16.
There is no set timeline for the new pool's completion.
The old pop-up pool will be open this Saturday and Sunday for the last time.
Residents who want to attend the forums have to register.
