Brooklyn duo releases music video inspired by Dr. Ford's hearing

A singer-and-songwriter duo released a music video inspired by the woman who accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.
Gracie Coates and Rachel Ruggles wrote the song for their music video "Her" in just one day in their Williamsburg apartment. The song's inspiration was Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's hearing.
"I said, 'Rachel what should we call this,' and she just said, "Her,'" says Coates. "It was so immediate. I wasn't thinking that at first. There are all these other ideas going on about this happening again. The moment she said 'Her' I was like of course."
The video shows images of women who have exhibited courage. The two say they put it together the same day Ford told her story.
Since "Her" was released, the duo says women with different points of view tell them they are sharing the inspirational video with friends and family.
