Two Brooklyn Instagram stars gave back to their community for Thanksgiving on Wednesday.
Steven Negron, who goes by 'Chicklet,' and his girlfriend Maleni Cruz are reaching out to their 3.5 million followers to get donations for a Bed-Stuy food pantry.
Hundreds of people went home with a full box of food just in time for Thanksgiving. Negron and Cruz helped hand out stuffing, corn bread, cranberry sauce and 150 turkeys. The 150 turkeys and some sides were donated by 3 Kilos Vodka.
Melony Samuels, the founder of the food pantry Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger, says their donations are appreciated more than they know.
“I feel good because I'm happy I'm going to celebrate with my friends and my family,” said Natha Nexil, a recipient.
Organizers say this is one of the busiest they've ever seen at this food pantry.
