A Brooklyn pastor who says he's worried that rights for same-sex couples are at risk is now offering to marry the couples for free.
Pastor David Parsons made the announcement in a recent Facebook post.
He says it's a direct response to Justice Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation to the Supreme Court because he's concerned that same-sex marriage could be on the line.
Parsons says that after he became an ordained pastor years ago, the first couple that he ever married were two women because he believes love is love.
He says as a pastor, it's always been his mission to be welcoming to all people, and he wants to do his part to contribute in the fight for gay rights.
While he says he does not oppose Barrett being on the bench, he says he's just hoping that rights for same-sex couples will be upheld in a court of law.
Parsons says that marrying same-sex couples free of charge is a service that he plans to offer for the foreseeable future.
