Thousands of New Yorkers came together at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and at the Greenwood Cemetery to get a glimpse of the solar eclipse.
The sun was mostly blocked off by the moon for Brooklyn viewers right at 3:25 p.m. It wasn't a total eclipse, but the skies were much darker for those staring at the sun (with the proper eyewear).
