Some Brooklyn students went on a special trip to the White House all thanks to their love of science.
Students participating in a Beam Center program for young astronomers were chosen for the trip for being outstanding science students.
They were also chosen for sharing their passion for astronomy with younger students and teaching them as well.
The Beam Center serves low-income and minority students, with programs in science and computer programming year-round that are based in Gowanus.
