Grabbing discounted seats to Broadway shows just got easier Thursday in Brooklyn as a TKTS booth opened up to two thumbs up.
TKTS sells same-day evening and next-day matinee tickets for up to 50 percent off face value. This includes Broadway, off-Broadway, music, dance and Brooklyn performing arts events.
East Flatbush mom Marina Brown made sure she was on line to get tickets for her family.
"I am an educator, so this is right up my alley. It's more affordable. It's something I would like my children to see, but when you have a large family you can't afford to see Broadway," Brown says.
Organizers say the new downtown Brooklyn booth exposes more people to the theater. The booth is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
