Lawyers for a Brooklyn single mother claim Brooklyn Hospital Center medical staff was negligent in her treatment, causing the woman to lose four limbs and go legally blind.Tabitha Mullings lost her hands, feet and much of her eyesight in what she says was a medical mix up the hospital should have known about. Her attorneys say no simple blood work was performed that would have led to a diagnosis of the infection that claimed Mullings' limbs. Instead, Mullings says when she went to the hospital complaining of pain doctors there diagnosed her as having a kidney stone and sent her home. The next day, Mullings says she returned to the hospital with an obvious infection. Mullings slipped into a coma and her hands and feet turned black from lack of oxygen, forcing doctors to amputate.Hospital representatives have issued a statement saying that while they sympathize with Mullings and her family, it would be inappropriate to discuss medical care due to patient confidentiality guidelines.Mullings' attorneys have filed a malpractice suit against the hospital
