Firefighters rescued a woman dangling outside a window after a second-alarm fire broke out in her apartment building Wednesday.
Officials say the fire started in a compactor in the basement of a Bedford Avenue high-rise and spread to the top floors. The woman was hanging out of her 25th floor window and firefighters used life-saving ropes to rescue her.
Three other residents and one firefighter were taken to Kings County Hospital for minor injuries.
