A Bronx building superintendent is facing felony charges and is being held on $50,000 bond after his arrest over an illegal pit bull breeding ring.
Investigators say 47 pit bulls were rescued Thursday from Raoul Sanchez's basement apartment at 1254 Sherman Ave. They say the canines were being bred to fight.
Aside from the pit bulls, authorities found a loaded hand gun, a shopping cart full of chicken parts, a training area for the animals and a makeshift arena for spectators.
