New York City teenagers are learning new computer skills this summer in Bushwick.

As part of the Summer Youth Employment Program, nonprofit organization Techie Youth teaches teens the skills to become computer technicians. Each student enrolled comes from foster care, are homeless, have had run-ins with the law or had an underage pregnancy. 

"These youth, without our program, are statistically likely to become homeless or incarcerated, where they become a cost to society," says Eric David Benari, founder of Techie Youth. "Now, we're making them contributing adults who are professionals to manage and be self-sustaining."

The program currently has 70 students enrolled.
