The impending shutdown of the L train will undoubtedly impact commuters, but businesses that rely on the foot traffic the line brings are also worried.
The MTA is proposing two options that would either shut the line down entirely for a year and a half, or partially shut it down for three years. Either way, the shutdown won't happen until 2019.
News 12 spoke with Williamsburg business owners who are awaiting the MTA's final decision. Some said they would have to change their marketing practices, or even relocate entirely.
Others said it's still too early to tell what will happen because the shutdown is still a few years off.
