A Bronx congregation is looking for a new home after a four-alarm fire Saturday destroyed the building where it used to meet.
The Full Life Assembly Church met on Van Nest Avenue until a fire tore through a number of buildings. The church met in a first-floor hall on the avenue for four years and had just made thousands of dollars in upgrades.
Pastor Udechi Chukwu says the insurance had lapsed and that because the Department of Buildings thinks the building is at risk of collapsing, he'll face a $100,000 demolition bill.
