An inventor from The Bronx has come up with a product that harnesses solar power to help people keep their homes warm. Ferando Peguero, 69, says his invention captures the sun's energy to heat water, which can then be used in a boiler. Peguero says it took him years and many failed attempts to get it right. Now, he's working on getting his product certified by the Solar Energy Corporation. The cost of the device is still being worked out. He hopes to one day transform his recycling business into a full-scale manufacturing plant for his invention, right here in The Bronx.
