Presidents Day sales had many Bronx residents spending their day off from work shopping and saving money.
The Bay Plaza shopping center in Co-op City was filled to capacity with consumers taking advantage of all the holiday deals. Stores offered everywhere from 25, 50 and even 75 percent off merchandise.
Despite the difficult economic times, the sales kept people willing to spend. "The sales are great in here," says shopper Christine Perez.
Other shoppers agree the stores are offering great sales to get business back up. "I definitely think a lot of the stores are working hard to get people back into the stores," says Will Taylor.
