Bronx high school students stormed out of class today to protest the city's plan to add a third school into an already cramped facility. Students at Schomburg Satellite Academy and Bronx Regional High School rallied against the Department of Education's proposal to consolidate Rose Charter High School into the same building. The schools currently share libraries, a gym and a lunchroom. Nearly 100 students marched to the office of state Sen. Ruben Diaz (D-32nd District), where they received support from his educational liaison. A joint public hearing is scheduled for March 12.
