A local youth group is working hard to foster a positive relationship between the NYPD and teenagers in the borough.
The Bronx Youth Empowerment Program invited teens Monday night to learn the do's and don'ts if they're confronted by a cop. Police officers were also invited to answer questions.
The event comes after Ramarley Graham, 18, was fatally shot at the hands of the NYPD and after Jateik Reed, 19, claimed to be a victim of police brutality during a recent arrest.
Organizers say the classes are a great way to open up a dialogue with law enforcement.
