Police say a Bronx teenager was assaulting an officer when he was arrested Thursday, but cell phone video allegedly shows the teen being thrown to sidewalk and beaten. Jatiek Reed was standing with a group of friends on East 168th Street when they say a confrontation broke out between Reed and several police officers. Cell phone video shows Reed struggling with the officers before being tossed to the sidewalk and hit repeatedly with night sticks. Police say they tried to apprehend the teen for drug possession, which apparently prompted him to head-butt an officer. Two members of Reed's family questioned the arrest at the 42nd Precinct, and were arrested there for disorderly conduct. The incident is still under investigation.
