The Bronx Detective Squad held a ceremony to send off three of its own into retirement on Thursday.
More than 100 friends, family and coworkers cheered at the walk-out ceremony, which was held at Detective Borough Bronx.
Detective Luis Salvador is from the Bronx and served his whole career in the borough. He retired after 29 years.
Detective Michael Geist is retiring after 27 years with the NYPD. He also spent his entire career in the Bronx.
Detective John Ferretti is retiring after 25 years. He started in Brooklyn but ended up in the Bronx.
The trio signed out from the book for their last time and partook in a ceremonial ride around the block.
The men say they are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives.
The commanding officer told News 12 that even though they're losing the three veteran detectives who will be greatly missed, they do have some younger people coming up ready to follow in their footsteps.
