The NYPD honored two officers who were fatally shot in Brooklyn one year ago Sunday.
Police Commissioner Bill Bratton attended a memorial and plaque dedication ceremony at the 84th Precinct for slain NYPD Detectives Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos.
Liu and Ramos were gunned down while sitting in their patrol car in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Dec. 20, 2014.
Both officers were taking part in an anti-terrorism drill when the shooter walked up to their patrol car and shot multiple rounds.
Other officers immediately went after the suspect, who took his own life at a nearby subway station.
Detective Liu was just 32 years old and a seven-year veteran of the NYPD. He and his wife were married only two months when he was killed.
Detective Ramos was 40 years old and had worked for the NYPD for two years.
Ramos left behind a wife and two sons.
