Chelsea Clinton reads new children’s book to kids at the Bronx Zoo
Chelsea Clinton read her new book about global warming and endangered species to children at the Bronx Zoo.
The book, "Don't Let Them Disappear,” teaches children to take care of the animal kingdom and encourages readers to take action.
Clinton says she has always been concerned about the safety of elephants. She says her parents were also passionate about saving animals.
"I think we have to be doing more to teach kids about global warming, the environment, endangered species because these are urgent challenges," says Clinton.
Clinton also took pictures with the audience.
News 12 asked Clinton what children should take from reading this book.
“One, how important it is that we are aware of endangered species, and that we share this planet together and two that we all have a responsibility to help save them," she says.
"Don't Let Them Disappear" is available online and at bookstores nationwide.
