Cherry blossoms are blooming earlier than usual this year at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden due to this past winter's unseasonably warm temperatures. Garden officials say the trees' petals will likely be gone by the annual cherry blossom festival, but that their beauty makes them a sight to behold anytime. The event is still scheduled to take place on the weekend of April 28.
