The prayers of a local church have been answered after finding out it will be able to continue worshiping at the Bronx River Houses.
The Infinity New York Church was told it would have to find a new home due to a Department of Education ban against religious services in public spaces, including schools and community centers.
Church members, six pastors and Councilman Fernando Cabrera (D-Bronx) were arrested last week after taking part in a protest against the rule.
Despite the good news for Infinity, the battle continues for churches that rent space in public schools. Dozens of congregations are slated to be evicted next month.
