The city announced that it is planning to replace all old parking meters with Muni-Meters city-wide within the next 18 months.
Officials say the new meters will be more cost efficient and easier way for driver to pay for parking.
Businesses say they are worried that the meters will actually be inconvenient for their customers who may have to walk farther to pay for parking, meaning some might receive a ticket before they can even get to the Muni-Meter.
Some residents say they will miss the extra five or 10 minutes left on the old meter by the previous driver to make a quick stop in a store.
