Dozens of people were evacuated or sent to the hospital this morning due to high carbon monoxide levels in Fordham.
Firefighters, police and EMS responded to the building at 2363 Valentine Ave. where nearly 40 apartments were emptied out. Twelve tenants were taken to Jacobi Medical Center for dizziness, while the others stood outside battling the bitter cold.
Everyone was allowed back inside after about two hours and officials say the cause of the leak was a heater in a corner grocery store.
