Dozens of Bronx residents, community leaders and NYPD officials came together in Wakefield today to discuss the fatal police shooting of an unarmed teenager.Ramarley Graham, 18, was gunned down by police officers inside his apartment on East 229th Street Thursday, sparking outrage in the community.During today's town hall meeting, residents discussed with police officials their concerns about officers using excessive force. Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., state Sen. Jeff Klein (D-The Bronx) and Rep. Eliot Engel (D-17th District) were also on hand to address the community and talk to police about what can be done to improve relations between the neighbors and the local precincts. Many of the participants say they hope today's meeting helps establish trust between the NYPD and the community.
