Some Bay Ridge express bus riders complain service is anything but speedy, and a state senator is demanding the MTA make major changes.
Sen. Martin Golden says he's received countless complaints about the X27, X28, X37 and X38 buses from frustrated commuters. Riders said they often have to wait 30 minutes to catch the buses, which go to Manhattan from the 86th Street and 7th Avenue stop. Golden blames the problem on overcrowding, saying drivers sometimes pass passengers by because there's no room for them.
Commuters argue they should receive better service for their $10 roundtrip fare.
Golden wants the New York City Transit Authority to send out workers to count the buses and track ridership in order to make schedule adjustments accordingly.
