Commuters are calling on the MTA to add an additional entrance to the overcrowded York Street subway station in Dumbo.
Residents call it "the tunnel of shove" as it becomes bottlenecked with shuffling bodies during rush hour.
An average of 9,000 people swarmed the station every weekday in 2014, up from around 6,000 in 2009, according to agency data.
Commuters say there are many words that come to mind when explaining the rush hour at the Dumbo station, but one man says it's simply "crazy."
A spokesperson for the MTA says he is working with the city to try and get funds to make changes to the York Street station; he did not specify what changes the MTA is looking to make.
