Coney Island Job Fair offers more than 600 jobs
More than 600 jobs were up for grabs at the ninth annual Coney Island Job Fair.
The all-day job fair was run by the nonprofit Alliance for Coney Island. Organizers say their goal is to make sure Coney Island thrives by helping local businesses attract the best talent, which will help people in the area find new opportunities.
Alliance for Coney Island Executive Director Alexandra Smith says this job fair is one of the most jam-packed she's ever seen in the fair's nearly decadelong history. Jobs at the fair included positions in security, maintenance, food and hospitality.
Denos Vouderis says he's recruiting for his family business, Deno's Wonder Wheel.
College student Andre Darant says he's eyeing the usher position for LiveNation to make some extra money while he's still in school.
