Police say the man accused of posing as a cop and sexually assaulting a teenage boy in Brooklyn is linked to a similar attack in 2009. The suspect, Steven Pappas, allegedly showed the 15-year-old boy a police badge at the 53rd Street subway station. He then lured the victim into a van, where he abused him. Police say they have linked him to a similar attack on a 12-year-old boy in 2009, and that he was not allowed to be within 400 feet of any school due to another conviction in 2000. NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly says the badge Pappas used was real, and that he has launched an investigation to determine how it fell into the wrong hands.
