Police say the driver of a bus who allegedly left a 22-year-old special needs student stranded overnight in the frigid cold has a slew of previous arrests and license suspensions on his record.

Ed Rivera, who suffers from cerebral palsy, was discovered Jan. 1 sitting in a parked bus in Brooklyn with his seat belt still on. Police say the driver of the bus, 42-year-old Walter Gibbs, has a criminal history and has had his license suspended a dozen times since 1996. Gibbs has not been charged with a crime.

Bus matron Linda Hockaday, 51, was arrested in the same incident last week and charged with reckless endangerment.

Rivera was taken to Brookdale University Hospital to be treated for hypothermia after being found.
