A Brooklyn lawmaker is trying to end the ongoing feud between restaurant owners trying to have Sunday brunch outdoors and neighbors who want it off the streets.Councilman Steve Levin has drafted legislation that would change the law that prohibits restaurants from serving customers outside after 8 a.m. The law is rarely enforced, but a local community board complained that some cafes were clogging up sidewalks, causing a hazard for churchgoers and seniors.At least three restaurants in Greenpoint and Williamsburg have been issued summons for breaking the law.Levin says he's still deciding how the law would be changed.
