At least one person was hospitalized today after a police van crashed into a day care center at the intersection of Kelly and East 156th streets.

Witnesses say a livery cab was speeding to make a light, and the van was forced to swerve to avoid hitting it. The van then crashed into the day care center.

No one at the day care center was injured, but the center's owner, Lillian Estrella, says this isn't the first crash at the intersection. She plans to sue to force the city to install a stop sign at the intersection.

Police say all the injuries resulting from the crash are non-life threatening.
