Crown Heights tech school catches DOE's attention
A high-tech high school in Crown Heights has caught the attention of the city's Department of Education (DOE).
Chancellor Dennis Walcott and other board members visited Pathways in Technology Early High School (P-Tech) Tuesday to commend students and teachers on its advanced curriculum.
All students graduate with an associate degree in technology. IBM also assists with courses and offers graduates an opportunity to join the computer company.
Walcott says the DOE would like to model other schools after P-Tech.
