It was Veterans Appreciation Day in The Bronx Monday as Bronx Week 2012 continues to highlight the best of the borough.
Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. paid tribute to hundreds of local veterans from the armed forces during a special lunch at Maestro's.
Those in attendance said it was an emotional day and that they were proud to help honor vets for all the sacrifices they've made.
