The Panel for Educational Policy has decided the fate of four Bronx schools and they'll soon become two.
Bronx parents and teachers were in Brooklyn Thursday night to voice concerns over school co-locations. Despite protests, the Department of Education (DOE) said it will merge Mott Hall III and P.S. 110 Theodore Schoenfeld into one building in Claremont, while Bronx Success Charter School will join P.S. 55 Benjamin Franklin.
Many argue that overcrowding will be an issue, especially if the proposed merger of P.S. 119 and I.S. 125 is approved. The panel will vote on those schools and several others at its next meeting on March 21.
