Community board members are holding a public hearing this evening to address possible changes to the streets around Gun Hill Road. The Department of Transportation has classified the area as a congested corridor, and is mulling a plan to mandate one-way driving in the neighborhood. The roads include parts of Decatur, Hull and Perry avenues, as well as parts of Putnam Place and East 211th Street. Residents say rush hour traffic has gotten increasingly crowded, and that they are looking forward to the changes. The event will be held at the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center at 6:30 p.m.
