Hundreds of Bronx residents took to the water today for the 13th annual Bronx River Flotilla.
More than 200 people came out to canoe and kayak down the Bronx River and float by a number of landmarks like the Bronx Zoo and New York Botanical Garden.
Many attendees say they were excited to take part and appreciate nature in urban areas.
"You get to have a great time and take in some fresh air," said NYC Councilman Joel Rivera Jr.
