Brooklyn residents looking to take in aerial scenes of the borough have a new store to serve their needs.
Brooklyn Drones NYC, on Fourth Avenue in Gowanus, opened its doors Saturday.
"It's kind of like a toy for big boys," says owner Roger Kapsalis, a former stockbroker. "You don't feel childish doing it because of technology, and it takes a little bit of skill."
Kapsalis says he hopes to serve customers ranging from filmmakers and photographers to those just looking to have fun as a hobby. He also offers lessons and other training.
Drones range from $450 to upward of $5,000, Kapsalis says.
New FAA rules require drone owners to register them.
