Police say a 16-year-old Brooklyn Tech junior and his 20-year-old friend were killed by a drunken driver while crossing the street in Queens early Sunday morning.
According to authorities, Robert Ogle, 16 and Alex Paul, 20, were leaving a party near Ogle?s Middle Village home when Kenneth Guyear crashed into the two men. Police say Ogle died at the scene, while Paul was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he later died.
A Department of Education representative says grief counselors will be on hand to talk with students and help them deal with Ogle?s death.
Police say Guyear was driving a stolen silver Kia at the time of the crash. He has been charged with assault two, vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, grand larceny, DWI and driving without a license, among others.
