Police have identified a man shot and killed on Avenue D in Flatbush yesterday as 21-year-old Dwayne Stephens.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. near 329 East 29th St. and 2911 Avenue D.
According to police, after receiving a 911 alert for a shooting in the area they discovered Stephens lying face down in the street with a gunshot wound to his chest.
He was transported to Kings County Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say surveillance video taken near the scene shows people running away from the apparent gunfire that killed Stephens.
A 67-year-old man was also wounded in the shooting, but police say he may have just been an innocent bystander.
Witnesses say they heard around 10 gunshots.
Police say the suspect, or suspects, fled in a black SUV, possibly a Porsche with yellow New York license plates.
